We eloped!
On May 13th at Partington Cove in Big Sur, we said “I Do”!
It was the most beautiful and special day, and we are so excited to share this news with you, along with stories from the day and photos by our amazing photographer, Paris Barton.
We met in 2022, in a sort-of-not-really setup by our good friends, Niki & Bob. One of us maybe admitted it was love at first sight in our vows…
Fast-forward to May 2026, we headed to Big Sur to elope! I (Kirsten) went to Big Sur alone just months before we met and it was one of the most magical places I had ever been. It was a place I wanted to share with Austin and we talked a lot about going together someday. After we got engaged we knew we wanted to elope and we couldn’t think of a better place to go.
After spending the morning getting ready separately, we had a first-look moment in the redwood groves.
We then hopped in our rented ‘65 Mustang to drive to Partington Cove for our ceremony.
Bob officiated a short and sweet ceremony by the sea, we wrote and exchanged vows, and Niki & Forrest were our witnesses.
The rest of the day was spent driving around, taking photos in some beautiful vistas, getting windswept on the beach, and ending the night with a diner grilled cheese and grocery store tiramisu.
It was perfect.
